Joss Stone - Drive All Night - ..get the cut reference in the title? too far?...She has such an incredible tone and style, but sometimes her songs get a little too "funky" for my taste melodically. This one is exactly where I love her though, effortless and the perfect tempo. Make sure to listen the whole way through cuz I think it gets better as it goes on, especially once the ad-libs and background vocals become more prominent. Keep the posts comin'!

Adele - Turning Tables - ...Pretty sure that's what they use for "chills" because THEY SOUND LIKE THEY'RE FROM LONDON. If you haven't heard this song you are living under a rock, but listen again because it is my favorite Adele song and gives me the willies every time.

Bon Iver - Re: Stacks - Everyone knows Bon Iver these days, but only a select few of his songs get the majority of the attention. Re: Stacks isn't one of them, but it is my personal favorite and it's not just cuz of the line "when your money's gone and you're drunk as hell..." Great song to listen to when you're falling asleep in bed. If you don't own this cd BUY IT!

Ellie Goulding - Heartbeats (Cosmonaut Grechko edit) - Lame Sheryl Crow reference aside, it was SO hard to decide who/what to post as the first cut, but I am obsessed with this song (and seemingly everything this girl touches). Very jealous of any of you who get to see her at Outside Lands this weekend. This is a remix of a cover she has done of a song originally by Jose Gonzales. Hope it's not too slow for your taste.
